Motor Testing Facility Power Specifications

  • DC Power: 0-24 V, 30 A max

Current Testing Capabilities:

  • Torque Range: From 0.2 Nm to 100 Nm

  • Speed Range: Up to 7000 rpm, depending on torque

  • Motor/Gearbox Diameter: Up to 75 mm

  • Encoder Resolution: ±2

Testing Procedures:

Efficiency Measurement: Measures the actuator's efficiency by comparing input electrical power to output mechanical power, evaluating how effectively it converts energy into work.

Backlash Assessment: Determines the precision and responsiveness of the actuator by measuring any slack or movement before engagement.

Accuracy Testing: Evaluates the actuator's ability to achieve precise positioning by comparing target positions to actual positions.

No-Load Conditions Analysis: Assesses actuator performance under no-load conditions to understand its behavior and provide baseline performance data.

Data Collection and Analysis:

Data Recording: Includes power measurements, positional feedback, and other relevant parameters.

Performance Metrics: Analyzes efficiency, backlash, accuracy, and response time, comparing results against specifications.

Reporting and Recommendations:

Comprehensive Report: Summarizes the testing procedure, results, and analysis findings.

Recommendations: Provides potential adjustments, optimizations, or improvements based on test outcomes.

Rubber Tensile Testing(ASTM D 412)

Our comprehensive testing services include both Rubber Tensile Testing according to ASTM D 412 standards and Plastics Tensile Testing following ASTM D 638 protocols. These tests assess the mechanical properties of rubber and plastic materials, respectively, under tensile loading conditions.

Test Setup: Specimens are securely mounted onto the grips of a universal testing machine (UTM) with proper alignment.

Data Collection: Load (force) and elongation (strain) data are recorded throughout the test to construct stress-strain curves.

Key Parameters Measured:

Tensile strength

Elongation at break

Modulus of elasticity

Current Testing Capabilities:

  • Force Range: From 1 N to 500 N

  • Specimen Width : Upto7mm

Applications:

Quality control in rubber manufacturing processes

Material selection and characterization

Research and development of new materials and formulations

Benefits:

Ensures compliance with industry standards (ASTM D 412 for rubber)

Provides valuable insights into material performance and behavior under tension

Supports product design optimization and quality assurance efforts

Coefficient of Friction Testing

At Twara Testing Facility, we offer precise Coefficient of Friction (COF) testing to evaluate the frictional characteristics between materials. Understanding the coefficient of friction is crucial for applications ranging from product design to quality control, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Test Setup: Specimens are securely mounted onto the COF setup of a universal testing machine (UTM). Two specimens are required to measure COF between two surfaces. Force is applied and is plotted against normal force of the specimen to get COF.

Data Collection: Load (force) and displacement data are recorded throughout the test to construct curves.

Key Parameters Measured:

  • Coefficient of Friction

Documentation Included:

  • Test Description: Detailed documentation of the test, including the environment and process.

  • Photographs: Images of the test setup for reference.

  • Data Presentation: Printed data in both tabular and graphical formats.

  • Curves: Speed, torque,stress/strain,elongation, force vs displacement and power curves.

  • Raw Data: Available as a .csv file for easy import into spreadsheet or database software.

Testing Certificate: Certification of the testing process and results.
